An Interesting Mix…. Wood, Glass, & Stone

Have you ever had an idea pop into your head out of nowhere.  You know… the kind that just keeps “poking” at you even when you are trying to do other things?   This rosary was the result of one of those ideas.   It was something I just had to make… simple_smiley

Wood Jasper, Czech Glass, and Olivewood Rosary

This “one of a kind” stone, glass, & wood rosary featured a variety of beads.  The Aves (Hail Mary beads) were made using 6mm round wood jasper stone and matte finished clear Czech glass faceted beads.  Using the matte finish on the glass allowed the color of the stone to take center stage.  The Pater (Our Father) beads were made from 7.5mm round, carved Olivewood beads from Bethlehem.   The center was an Italian silver plate, traditional Miraculous medal.   And the crucifix was my Italian silver plate basic inlaid crucifix.    I did give the option to use one of the other crucifixes if someone prefered them.  Oh, and the wire and chain were 20 gauge silver plate.  The rosary ended up being about 20 inches in length.

I think this may be one of my new favorites.
