Silver Plate Wire Dilemma

Hey Everyone!

So I have run into a bit of a road block, but I think I have found another option. For those who buy rosaries, you know I offer a variety of wire and chain options for almost every budget. Unfortunately due to Covid 19, I can no longer get the European 20 gauge silver plate wire I used for my silver plate upgrades. I have been searching for another option for the last few months but all of the other wires I tried were just too flimsy.

Good news though!! I finally found a supplier who has offered me a smoking deal on silver filled wire. For those who don’t know silver filled is also silver plated over copper, but the silver coating is 10x thicker than normal silver plate which means it will keep its color longer. Once the wire gets here I will update the store with the new pricing. It will probably be $1-$4 more than my old silver plate wire, but still a great option for those on a budget.

Part Restock & New Stuff!

Hey Everyone!

Parts arrived from Italy this week.  Woo Hoo!!  I have restocked many of the basic centerpieces like the Miraculous medal, Lourdes & Fatima water centers and Mary with Baby Jesus.  I have also restocked my traditional angular crucifix, relic crucifix, large filigree among a few others.  The supplier sent me the stamped version of the tear drop sunburst crucifix instead of the one with the separately attached Corpus, so I will be taking new pictures and adding that one as an option to the existing listing until the few of the old style are sold out.  OK?  I also have a new Fatima center with dirt from Fatima instead of water, a larger Miraculous medal and a new simple crucifix that will be added soon.  If you have any questions, please let me know.

New Pictures Coming Soon!

I’m finally in the process of updating pictures. YAY! If you are looking at an item and the picture is missing, just wait a minute or two and it will pop back up. It just means I’m in the process of adding the new images to the listing.

As before the images will be color coded to help make browsing easier. Italian silver plate parts will have a blue background. Gold plated parts will have a pink background. Sterling silver will have either a purple background or a purple bar across (I’m not sure which yet :)).  American made pewter will either be white background or another color. I’m still working on those. 🙂

Pictures & New Flat Link Chain

HI Everyone!

I recently found out my manufacturer discontinued the flat link chain I use on my less expensive rosaries. 😦  I can special order more, but the minimums are HUGE!

For now I am experimenting with the next size up. As soon as I am able I will add both options for my custom rosaries, but here is a picture so you can see the difference. They are very close in size, but the new stuff has a thicker look to it and is slightly larger. Once I add this option to the store I will take a better picture next to beads so you can see how they look. As always if you have questions please let me know. 🙂

Phases 1 & 2 Now Complete

Hey Everyone!!

Phases 1 & 2 of the new store upgrade are now complete! YAY!! 🙂 All the pretty stuff is finally done!!  Phase 3 will involve a lot of back end stuff including fixing that pesky PayPal button, retaking pictures, rewriting descriptions, SEO and adding more details to each listing.  It will take a couple of months to get that part finished, so if you see anything wonky in the mean time please let me know.

Below is a picture of the new item pages. I was able to add a “short description” directly under each item title. Minimizing those and making them more concise will be a big part of Phase 3. Hopefully once finished they will help with any confusion regarding items used for custom rosaries versus items available for individual sale. If you have any questions or see any type-o’s or other errors, please let me know. 🙂  Thank you for your patience during this transition. It has been greatly appreciated!

New Website Update

Woo Hoo!!! We are making good progress on the new website. Right now the initial upgrade will kick in around July 15th. It looks like I will be able to keep the store live during the initial upgrade which is good. The switch over will come in 3 phases. First will be the new layout (see below), then comes phase 2 which includes adding short descriptions in listings and breadcrumb trails to help with site navigation.  Finally phase 3 will include updates to listings which will hopefully make them easier to read, but will take a few months to complete.  YAY!!

Update!!!  Phase 1 is now up and running. We still have a couple bugs to work out, but for now things seem to be working well!  Come by and take a peek at the new mobile friendly design!! 🙂

White Rhodium Lily Set Back In Stock!!

Just a quick note to let you all know that my white rhodium lily set that had been discontinued by the manufacturer is now back in stock.  I was able to negotiate a decent deal with them to make more for me.  YAY!!

Alexandrite Beads Discontinued :(

Hey everyone!  Just a quick note to let you all know that my 6mm round Alexandrite color changing beads and my 8mm Alexandrite/Silver cathedral beads have been discontinued by the manufacturer.  I’ve found a few elsewhere, but the costs were at least 5 times what I normally pay, so I’ve decided not to restock for now.  I will keep checking though and let you all know if they pop up again in the future.
